Graphs for December 2017

A wet and windy end to the year. We did have snow for a few days the week before Christmas but none on Christmas day. This seems to be the norm these days with snow coming later in the new year.

The lowest recorded pressure this year was 983.19mb on the 2nd february. The highest was 1042.60mb on the 19th January.

The lowest recorded temperature this year was -2.8degC on the 11th of this month at 9:40am. The highest was 29.7degC on the 21st of June at 2:30pm. Like in October we had large temperature fluctuations caused by changes in wind direction. We went from -2.8degC at 9:40am upto +8.2degC at 12:40pm on the 11th.

The highest recorded gust this year was 58mph on the 2nd February. There was a gust of 49mph this month on the 7th.

Total rainfall of 4.71" this month. I had a problem with the rain gauge not recording from the 11th to the 20th so I have used readings from a nearby AWS. Rainfall for the year was 63.41" / 1.61m which is a long way short of my record of 84.16"/2.13m in 2007. There were 276 rain days and only 84 dry days.
